You may also need to remove the oil cooler and verify that the correct seals 
are in there. This is no slam dunk, because the correct seals are often not 
included in the standard gasket sets, and there are several ways to get this 
wrong, most of which will lead to some kind of cooling or lubrication problem.

You may need to just quiz your engine guy on this, but you can't assume that he 
knows type 3s well enough to know that he's looking at the wrong part.
