Re: [T3] engine/carb questions
<x-flowed>DavidY=> everything else related to cooling is in place
Well, you're forgetting at least one thing. While cruising the 009 runs
at constant full advance. This may not be the main source of your
symptom, but it is a contributing factor relative to the stock distributor.
To even guess at your jetting needs, I expect we'll need to hear what
size valves you're running and whether you've ported the heads and
exhaust. I imagine you've switched to dual-port heads, right?
=> is 7.5 btdc the correct setting
Maybe, but probably not. You'll have to determine the full advance of
your particular distributor. Manufacturing tolerances on the 009 are
quite loose. I'd recommend you buy or borrow a timing light with an
advance adjustment, which will make this job easy as pie.
