NOS bumpers usually arent worth it unless they are in thier original wrap and intact... because chrome scratches so easily. NOS doesnt mean not all scratched up. Yes the OEM ones are all triple plated but the copper layer was a bit thin. Most if not all late bumpers can be flipped over and mounted upside down to hide surface rust. The downside is that you will have to drill a couple mounting holes on the other side and cover/plug/hide the corresponding holes on the new visible side. And you have to put up with the VW logo in the middle.
