Laquer thinner. Just don't get carried away, or you might destroy the finsh
you're trying to save. If you want something less radical, try some 3M rubbing
compound, or even their cleaner / wax (both in 1), as it has some of the
rubbing compound in it, but not as abrasive. I hope this helps.
