Start with the F5... number) This contraption used to bedevil early Ford Taurus owners- the early ones were perhaps too sensitive, and a hard tap on the rear bumper (hard enough to jolt, but not quite hard enough to cause damage) would trip the cutoff switch. Many a Taurus owner got stuck on the road in bumper to bumper traffic wondering why their car stalled after getting bumped from behind. Happened to my sister years ago- I had known about the problem but this was in an age before cell phones, so she couldn't call her bro. Luckily the tow truck driver knew about this problem too, and reset the switch for her. No charge. :) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
