Absolutely, especially since this MC is not original. > Asking the list: how many dual-circuit Type 3 MCs ar there, and what are > their identifying features? Very early (first part of '67) had inlet nipples for 6mm hose. I've only seen ONE of these, ever, and that was one I rebuilt for someone on our list last year. Before that, I didn't even know that they existed. There may have been ATe and FAG versions of these; I don't know. If there were different versions, then they would interchange. There were several different versions of the later MCs with the 8mm inlet nipples, but they will all fit and work properly with all type 3s with 8mm supply lines. However, their internal parts do not always interchange. For example the FAG MCs use a different shaped rear seal which is NLA, but I can modify the FAG piston to accept an ATe seal. There are also aftermarket MCs out there, possibly made in Brazil, Japan, or the US. The Japanese ones (Bryco) seem to be copies of ATe MCs, so their internal parts interchange. I'm not sure about the others. > One more thing: you haven't mentioned why you're looking to replace the > MC.
