I looked at the OTT system and I'm sure you're right that it would heat things up nicely - well, maybe I mean badly. I guess the protective shield from an old Type 3 muffler could be used. Foil on the muffler would be a help while driving but there would still be convective heat soak after stopping - I guess that happens with the stock version to some extent though. Dave.
