I think it was on the bottom of the gas tank. I never actually saw it,
because at tha time, I knew nothing about cars. But the mechanic who
removed it said it was very low, and he was worried about clearance.

Yes, the PO had installed it. He told me he alway used the cheapest gas
possible, and that it took the water out.
