***You really don't need the special clamps; just don't tighten down the worm gear clamps so hard.*** Yep....very true, Jim Back when I was a mechanic at a gas station (about 30 years ago) every car had rubber fuel lines spliced in here and there (carbed cars)(in-line fuel filters), and most mechanics were pretty good at over tightening these worm clamps. The first thing you did when you had a trace of seepage, tighten the clamp....and again the next time...and again the next time.......soon you either cut the hose with the clamp or stripped the threads.....so when I ran new fuel lines in my T3, a spent a little more and used a better clamp available today........I figured I would do what I could to help thwart any fuel leaks on these engines that have so many clamps within the hot engine compartment. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
