***It's got a springy bit of plastic on the left side (left is as seen from the driving seat) and a notch on the other. Push the nozzle to one side and tilt the other side up. You won't get a finger to the back of it unless you remove the airbox, certainly on the long-nose models. warm the area with a hair dryer for a while to soften the plastic and reduce the chance of it splitting. Photo on its way, David.*** Thank You to all!...Got It! mine was slightly crooked on the cowl and I didn't wanna pull or twist without knowing what I was up against....after seeing the picture Dave was kind enough to send me, I saw EXACTLY how this thing was attached.........mine came out quite nicely from the top side (hair dryer trick assisted), but after seeing the fluid hose that came from it, I'll be tearing out the fresh air box when it comes time to re-install (with new hose) anyway. Thanx Again, all! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
