There's lots you can do to diagnose without climbing around her at all. When you turn the key ON, do you hear relays click and then click again about 1 second later? Between these two clicks do you (or a friend with his ear near the RF tire) hear the fuel pump whirrr? With the key ON, if you go to the engine and depress the throttle, can you hear a series of tiny clicks? Pull one cylinder wire out of the distributor cap. Then have a friend crank the engine with the starter while you hold the end of the wire near the top of the cap. Do you see periodic sparks? -- ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
