Speaking from extensive experience with several cars and an RV in high-solar-energy conditions and with no garage: the car cover lowers interior temps radically. I also leave the windows partly open under the cover to provide additional circulation. It's all better for the interior and much more comfortable when getting the car out in the afternoon.
