Yes, the inside pulley half is securely on its hub and fits on the woodruff key on the
generator shaft, but its a little loose and slightly warped when spun. Could a bent inside pully
half cause the commutator to spin out of round?


Is your inside half actually loose on the hub? The outside half should be a
loose fit, UNTIL you tighten up the nut.

When I removed the generator, I noticed that I didn't put on any spacers on the outside
on the pully. Without them the pully halfs never fully tightened. I'll try again with them
on.
