[T3] what is good to protect a dash

a friend of mine that is doing a Ghia (mid 60's) it came to him in boxes .so
as he is going thru stuff he finds a near mint type3 dash padit has a small
crack in it right at the edge along the windshield but it feels pretty dry
so want to get some life back in before it cracks up
