Well, I'll certainly take a filter and a pan gasket. I am going to put the 
old one back in for now (I cleaned it up today and it seems reasonable) but 
it would be nice to have a new one that I can put in next time I have the 
car off the road for TLC. Of course if it turns out it really is the torque 
converter oil seal that is leaking, that could be rather soon.
