ISTR that both ends of the filter itself are the heat riser size. The port where the valve connects to the IAD is, as you say, smaller. > I have a feeling that my EGR is nonfunctional anyway. The valve is probably fine, but the wiring, etc, for it may be shot. > I have a set of 4 NOS injectors if I have any that are particularly > leaky, and I also got a hold of a set of 4 used injectors of unknown > quality. Using expensive injectors to <maybe> solve a problem like this seems wasteful to me. Part of the problem is that the injectors you take out will probably be ruined by being allowed to sit around. When they are new, they are oiled so they don't rust, but once they've had gas run thru them they can rust much more easily. Used ones are best stored in kerosene. -- ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
