When I first started seriously thinking about DoT-5, I mixed a few cc's of DoT- 5 with a few cc's of DoT-4 in a small bottle. I still have that bottle, and the two fluids are still fine. They mix up to form a kind of slurry if I shake the bottle, just like vinegar and oil, but they settle out in an hour or so. The silicone is lighter, so it floats to the top.
