Re: [T3] Brake bleeding and other hydraulics

Looking through the invoices this guy had from his dealership, it looks
like he often came in for "customer smells gasoline, replaced x hoses"
during the '90s. Guess those 20 year old hoses finally started rotting.
He was lucky he didn't have a fire.

My plan is to replace all those hoses, I'd just hope it holds on another
100 miles until it gets to my new house. I'd rather not do it in my
parents driveway. Then again, I'd rather not have a flaming ruin, either. :)

That's a good plan - my Fasty was leaking (spewing) gas when I first got it. I think it cost me all of 10 bucks for new hoses and clamps to replace everything (except for the little hose bits on the injectors themselves), and I haven't had a fuel leak since. I used the cheap-and-plentiful bulk stuff that's available anywhere. I remember it being easy to do, but some places were a real pain to get to. It probably won't take much time, so you could spend those few hours at your parents house.
