That's terrific, but what's next, and what will you do with all the time on your hands once it's completely finished? > Here's the (almost) finished item: > > http://www.type34.info/temp/Engine%2012.05.05.jpg Nice, it looks almost finished. It took me a moment to realize what the small blue wires in the middle of the engine were. They appear to be homemade wires for the AT kickdown switch. The OE wires would have been black and would have had an in-line fuse between the + term of the coil and the switch so that a shorted kickdown wire wouldn't hurt anything other than just the fuse. I may actually have one of those OG wiresets. Just something to keep in mind for next time.... ;-) -- Jim Adney jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, WI 53711-3054 USA ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
