You can check out www.ground-control.com They have adjustable coil spring kits. I didn't see anything for early vws, but I called them one time and the guy said that they can cross reference the strut diameter and the coil spring size with another make. They are pretty nice. I had them on my datsun 510. I am sure there are other companies you could check out. At ground control its all bolt in or you can weld it in. -----Original Message----- From: vwfye [mailto:vwfye@charter.net] Sent: Thursday, May 12, 2005 9:25 AM To: type3@vwtype3.org; Type3 Subject: Re: RE: [T3] my newest toy... no, there are some type 4 guys out there that found a way to get a 2 inch drop of the nose with a modified early audi to vw strut combo. i would love to just cut the springs, but i won't > > From: Russ Wolfe <russw@classicvw.org> > Date: 2005/05/12 Thu PM 12:13:34 EDT > To: Type3 <type3@vwtype3.org> > Subject: Re: RE: [T3] my newest toy... > > On Thu, 2005-05-12 at 10:57, vwfye wrote: > > My current plan is to clean it up, lower the nose a bit (apparently > > all type 4 have a tall nose), change the wheels for some that aren't rusty and drive it. the interior is immaculate with just a wear spot on the driver's seat. > > > > You planning on cutting the coils on the McPherson Struts to lower the > front??
