[T3] Wheel weight affecting whp?
<x-flowed>In another VW forum I'm in a guy said he lost some whp (wheel
horsepower) when he installed larger brakes on his [race] car -- this
included a larger rim/tire as well I believe. I don't agree with this
but he said his dyno proved it. Now, I don't know if there was anything
else done to the car prior to the 'after' dyno. Anyway, is it true that
changing the rotational mass on the wheels will affect whp? I can
understand acceleration changes but, like a flywheel, its weight
shouldn't affect the hp/torque...right? If I'm wrong please edumicate
me :-) If I'm right, what could be some plausible reasons why his whp
dropped?
