Holy cow you guys, you wouldn't believe what our cars go for in Japan. Now I know why some of you have mentioned the wave of cars heading overseas. I went in search of magazines at one of the book stores and found a couple. As I paged through the ads the average cost of a Squareback of any year was around $14K, with the high one being $19K and the lowest was $10K. Having been to a gathering now, I've seen the quality of those rides. Some are very clean but most are just above average. As for my Gomi car (Jim might be able to translate that for you) in comparison to the others, I ran most of the jury-rigged wiring for the backup lights through the frame where it won't get burnt or cut and cleaned all of the fuses and fuse panel under the dash. Quite a bit of corrosion on them but it's all cleaned up now. The interior lighting works now, so that's a good sign. I wish I had more time to work on it but a few hours a week is all I get for now, but it's fun to go out and tinker so I can get it on the road shortly, just in time for me to deploy again. Ha.
