Re: [T3] porsche break on a notch

<x-flowed>I know i don't have to run Porsche brakes to use the Carrera cups, i just think that it will complete the package. Is there any problems with running 17-7 all around? Would my turning radius be shortened or would i have any problems with the rubber hitting the inside of the wheel wells? thanks guys.

 i Want to run
17-7 Carrera cup wheels all around, if that makes any difference.

Matt, you don't need to run Porsche brakes to use those rims. All you need to
do is have the drums and rotors redrilled. You already converted the pan to 4
lugs right? I thought I saw pics on your web site showing this, 4 lug drums
in the rear and 4 lug disc's up front. There is a guy on the Samba type 3
forums( http://thesamba.com ) )who is already using those rims on his Notch. He
didn't even need any spacers due to the offset of the rims. : ) There is also a
guy in the Portland area running 19's on his Square, and John J. is running 16
x 8's on the rear of his Square, so you can do larger rims without the added
expense of Porsche parts. Just something to think about.

Hi Matt,
sounds like a better option to me (the later 911SC brakes would also be
good). The reason for my comments are that Porsche brakes are designed as
complete systems and upgrading my 911 brakes to big reds would require a
larger master cylinder & a few other mods regarding balance.
I think the only issue with 17 inch wheels is looks as bigger discs fill the
wheels better.
