Re: [T3] porsche break on a notch

<x-flowed>Hi Jonathan
I see that you own a Porsche, so if you don't recommend using the big reds, do you think using the same braking system that is in the '77 911, same year as my dads 911, would be a good option? i Want to run 17-7 Carrera cup wheels all around, if that makes any difference. Thanks

Hi Matt, (and hello to the list),
I would not recommend big reds (the brakes from the 993 twin turbo) - if you
do install then make sure you install the full 993 braking system (as they
require a huge master cylinder, masses of assistance (servo or hydralic) and
lots of brake fluid capacity. Also be prepared to stand your car on it's
nose every time you apply the brakes as they are the best road brakes ever
made.
Smaller porsche calipers painted red would be my suggestion and would be a
lot cheaper. Have a look at this article
http://www.rennsportsystems.com/~porsche/2c.html which tells you everything
you need to know about Porsche brakes.
