[T3] Ignition on a F.I. 71

I have a 71 sqb that is F.I. I was looking into getting a
distributorless ignition system from comp-u-fire. I asked a couple of
places and they said it would not work because there would be no way of
signaling the computer to fire the injectors. Does anybody know how you
can make a distributorless system work on a F.I. System, or would it be
better to go with the electronic points? Who makes a good kit for either
of these?

Also, I have started to have troubles with the engine running rough. It
feels like the timing is off, but I know it isn't. I have had problems
like this before with my datsun. Could it be the v.r. be going bad? I
have no way to check this. Is there anything else it could be?
