Yes, I do have the correct pulley. I did notice the difference from books, 
so I did check that out.

Good, I always wondered why they always ask to plug them!
OK, sounds like I should be good to go with setting the timing. It just 
seems odd to not be able to reduce the idle speed enough to stall it out. I 
just put this engine back together using new gaskets where the intake tubes 
mount to the head, but I wonder if I have a vacuum leak somewhere around 
the air distributor...I'll try the carb cleaner trick to see if I can find 
a leak.....
BTW, I have to find new electrical connectors that I can use to replace the 
little tiny ones in the fuel injector plugs...Am I going to have a hard 
time finding them, or are they available at a radio shack?
