Unless, of course, they want to claim in an advertisement that their 
current POS, the 2005 Jetta, could "potentially" be worth 10 times its 
original value thirty years from now.

Those of us who have owned late-model Jettas know they're toast after 
120K miles or so. I have never been so unimpressed by the longevity of a 
car in my life. </rant>
