If you really believe that they misrepresented their product as
something superior to what everyone else has, in such a way as to justify
charging twice as much as anyone else would for the same product, I would
definitely recommend you return it for a full refund.
I would also suggest you tell the person on the phone that you aren't
just returning the beading because of the product itself, but because you
feel you were lied to and taken advantage of and that you feel they
misrepresented the product they were selling.
I would also ask to be compensated for shipping. If they refuse assure
them that you will not do bussiness with them in the future and you will
share your bad experience with the VW community.
In the package with the returned part I would enclose a letter making
the same statement so that as many people as possible get the message.
I have never dealt with Bill&Steves but I have noticed that I used to
hear positive words about them quite a bit. This word of mouth advertising
seems to have been diminishing over time wich leads me to suspect that their
bussiness practices are not up to par with what they once were.
