I say send it back. Someone welling parts should know exactly what they are
selling and how it compares to everything else on the market, if not, they
should be honest and tell you that they do not know for sure, that way you
can make your own judgment. By sending it back, you're telling this guy to
learn his stuff. In addition, you could tell him that you've made known his
error to several hundred type 3 people who will not be doing business with
him if he can't make it right. IMHO
