Does this cube shaped thing do anything else, and is there any reason > I should not do this? The buzzer should only go off if you open the door with the key still in the ignition. If it's going off other than that, then there are wiring problems. If it's just that which is bothering you then pulling the buzzer out is a straightforward fix, and the one I would recommend. On later cars, the buzzer also goes off if you don't fasten the seatbelts. I don't mind the buzzer since I hate locking my keys in the car, plus I always use my seatbelts. I had to fix the weight sensor in one of my '73s though, since it always thought that there was a passenger there. -- Jim Adney jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, WI 53711-3054 USA ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
