I had the same problem with my carbs after rebuilding them with new needle valves. I did the same check with the same results. I swapped the originals back in and all was good in the world. Later, John Jaranson >> What Russ and John J. said. I had the same problem with a set on my son's Roadster. We put the originals back in, and it's good to go. I think the quality control people were sleeping on this this one. I don't know where you got your kit, but it seems this is the kit's shortfall. The kits I put in my Notch though, were good to go. I think I got that set of kits thru RMMW (but they've since closed their doors). I've heard you can use bug needle and seats too, but don't quote me on that. :O Just something to keep in mind.
