I used a universal exaust flex pipe, was available in 1991 anyway. Keith > I'm looking for the hoses that run from the heat exchangers to the fresh air mixer boxes. I understand they're unavailable but that carburetor pre-heater hoses will work. I've tried about five auto parts stores and nobody has 60mm (2-3/8") hoses. I also read in the vwtype3 archive that hardware stores have some flexible aluminum pipe that will work. I have been to about six hardware stores (Lowes, Menards, Home Depot and others) and none of them have it in a size that will work. So far I've spent about 8 hours looking and am starting to wonder if I will have to make my own. Anybody have a suggestion?
