I realise I've been a bit remiss here. I should have mentioned that I know 
that the TC came out of an automatic VW Bus, and that the tranny of this but 
looked exactly like ours. I've no idea what year it was. It is definitely a 
VW TC, the question should really be whether the Bus and the Type 3 used the 
same one.
