It looked okay, but lately it has been squealing at startup. >Bently says clean the brush first, so I did clean only the top brush and the light went out. That was 5/16. Since then I have replaced the belt and the top brush and have been driving trouble free, until the last few days. When I start to drive away, the GEN light is bright red until I get to about 20mph then goes out. Yesterday, it never went out. I drove home about 30mi and decided to change the lower brush. The lower brush was only about 1/4" high! Bentley says replace if its not sticking out above the holder. This one was 1/4" below the holder. Changed it and light went out. I never changed the lower because I thought generator removal was necessary. Then I read somewhere, Clymer I think, where you loosen the clamp nuts and twist the gen until the lower brush is accessible. Cool.
