[T3] carb problem solved
<x-flowed>Hi Folks
Well, I took your advice, cleaned the original parts very carefully
and re-used the valve that controls flow of fuel into the bowl. It
works, problem solved. When I looked closely at the original valve
and the replacement I could see about a 2 mm difference in height of
the shoulder of the valve - that is, the new valve was thinner than
the original. This was enough to prevent the valve from controlling
fuel flow. I sure am gald that I kept the original parts.
And now the engine runs GREAT!! This is soooooo cool!!
of course, there is leakage around the throttle shaft. I guess I'll
have to see if I can find a machine shop to make new bushings ...
