[T3] What have I done?
<x-flowed>- last person I know of that did this ended up with a bent valve -
Wouldn't that be a consistent problem, resulting in a more-or-less "smooth"
loss of power across the range? I'm getting more of a lurching, missing
kind of symptom, that if I drive just right, I can minimize. A slight miss
at idle or steady RPM, an uncomfortable miss/chug on acceleration.
-new dizzy fixed the problem, pray that's all it is -
Well, the distributor's older than the engine is, so that could be. But
educate me - what, in this case, would make a distributor fail? And again,
wouldn't that be a consistent failure? I mean, if it's broke, it's broke,
no?
Changing mixture makes a difference - leaning out the RH carb makes the
chugging less pronounced. So, right bank WANTS less gas - has me thinking
right bank is GETTING less air. Is this logic sound? I suppose DRAWING
less air would be consistent with Brian's bent valve theory.
I'll keep poking & let you know what I find. As always, your good counsel
is most appreciated.
