Re: [T3] Charging Help.
<x-flowed>
yes. the brushes were 1/4" above the brush guides..
pushing on the brushes slightly while measuring the generator output
didn't change anything.
I ran it, it runs as a motor at a medium speed.
doesn't jerk other than the initial startup jolt.
I didn't notice anything obvious, but it does seem like this one could
be repaired, as it's
so close to working. :)
still, I'm considering just ordering one from someone to keep things
easier, on me time wise.
someone like aircooled.net, or the DDB. any suggestions? Is it going
to be impossible
to find one with the push on connectors? [ or should I just change out
my connectors. ]
Just being curious now, what do folks think of doing the DDB alternator
conversion if I'm not really running extra electronics?
is the alternator setup easier on charging of batteries? is it more
reliable?
it's probably not worth it, but the engine is already well on the dark
side,
and the alternator kits just seem cool.
