That $2000 figure wasn't verbatim from the ad, so I wouldn't ding VW on 
that. I don't remember what was said in the ad. They might have said 
$3000 for all I remember- I'll listen more closely next time.

My '73 Fasty's window sticker says $3149 (including destination 
charges), and the only options it got were 5 radial tires and Blue 
Leatherette interior. Old guy didn't even spring for the Sapphire XIX 
AM/FM radio, just the Sapphire XVIII AM radio it came with.
