Simon, who once was on this list, really made a tremendous book! It is highly reccomended for any VW enthusiast. >> I was going to recommend this book too. : ) I used to own a VW Fox, and it's an odd ball all by itself. According to Simon's book, it was a Gol first with an air cooled t-1 based motor, then they put in a watercooled engine, then VW decided to sell them in the US for 4 years (88 to 92). When sold in the US, they changed the name and badging. They were an entry level VW at the time, selling for around 9 grand new. I liked the car, but it was harder to get parts for than a type 3. :o It only shared a few parts with the golf/jetta, and nothing with an audi. I alway had thought of putting a t-1 engine in it, if the water pumper died, but I sold it and put the money into my Roadster 2 project. : ) Bob 65 Notch S w/ Sunroof 71 Square, now a 2 seat Roadster, pics can be seen at; http://volksrods.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=2977 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
