car: make some short to medium length drives with a load in/on/around the car and test temps, plug readings, mileage and make adjustments as needed make at least a 3 hour trip in the car with full invasion load in/on/around car. if it cannot make the 3 hour trip, it is back to the garage for another attempt at fixing issues. repeat as needed. do not worry about the appearence of the vehicle. as long as it is safe and legal, bring it to the gathering! driver: good selection of music (if you have a radio), lots of water (gonna be warm) and appropriate clothing...oh, make sure you stop often enough to stretch! we don't need anyone getting blood clots in their legs!!!! luggage: basic road trip tools, SPARE TIRE & JACK! oil, belt and extra points are a good idea too.
