These close up the tin around the intake manifolds and hold the plug boots. They're important.

These are the early and late versions of the pieces that go under the cylinders, above the pushrod tubes. The larger, late version is what we call the 'cool tin.' These are also important (is there any piece that's *not* important?), and the cool tins are a significant improvement.
