That's because none of the FI wiring is done in color. All the wires are white. Check that "grey" wire you mentioned, see if it's actually grey or a greasy white wire. If it's a greasy white wire (that looks grey 'cuz it's dirty) it's *probably* the CHT lead. If it's not, dig more.
