I used one in my daily-beater Bug for 3 1/2 years (1776, Kadrons, stock cam & heads). Ran great, no hesitation, no pinging, no overheating, no problems. Much better than the 009 it replaced. Even if it's not a perfect match, it's a much *closer* match to our engines than an 009 would be. The advance/retard information on the '83-'85 WBX from oldvolkshome.com: Vacuum: 12-16deg Adv @ 10.6 In. Hg, 9-11deg Ret @ 10.6 In.
