That is just the heated area.(Coming next spring, it will have central

That is Gallery. And it is very customizable too. Toby just installed it
on his site for his photo galleries. he spent more time with the bells
and whistles than I did.

No, that is the oil baffle plate. All AC VW's (except the 1700) should
have that baffle.
I am talking about the little metal plate that is next to the 2 long oil
cooler bolts.
It helps seal for air loss under the cooler, because the early cooler is
spaced up a little off the case, by the thick washers.
