I just got a disc kit for the rear with emergency brake. It cost $300, but I asked the guy at the shop about the line lock and he said that it would be fine for a parking brake but not advisable to use as an emergency brake. Probably because it only locks the fluid after you push in the brake pedal. -----Original Message----- From: Jason Weigel [mailto:notchboy@comcast.net] Sent: Wednesday, February 09, 2005 3:56 PM To: type3@vwtype3.org Subject: Re: [T3] Stainless steel braided brake lines What about a line lock? Like draggers use for burn outs locking the fronts. Use it for the rear. Or is that the same as you are describing. jason : RE: [T3] Stainless steel braided brake lines > > I expect whatever rear disc setup he or the PO > installed doesn't have a parking brake.
