Aside from simple carelessness, human body oils can be corrosive and are 
even known to 'stain' stainless steel.  My fiches are holding up just 
fine but I've barely used them.  I think they are more durable than the 
flimsy paper pages in my Parts List manuals...just muuuuch more 
difficult to photocopy ;-)
