[T3] Locking steering column?

<x-flowed>I was just flipping through the dealer brochure I recently picked up for 
our Fastback, and it describes a "locking steering column" for the '68 
Fastback.  While I know that '68 and newer domestic cars have locking 
steering columns, the column in our Fastback most certainly does not 
lock.  Is this a common thing to break or gum up?  Or does the car not 
have a locking column. 

Heck, we left the car at the body shop without keys because the column 
doesn't lock.
