It Did... Washed the Golf too... WOW! Theres a car under there. The Square is garaged, but the garage does get cold. I make sure the oil in it is clean or changed and give it a full tank of gas just prior to putting it away so condensation doesnt form inside the tank. Id probably do the same for outside storage, Gas will hold up 6 months but I have found that if I dont run it at all during the winter that I get a hose or 2 that leaks, even an injector so I run it once at the half way point. You definatly want oil in it to protect the parts and firing it up redistributes it. One thing that aircooled owners need to keep in mind is that the oil cooler slowly drains out over a few weeks, and once empty takes a minute or so of cranking to fill BEFORE you can get any oil pressure. If you fire it right up you get alot of pressure on bearings that have no oil pressure for a bit of time and have had the oil draining out of them for several months. You also move the pistons and rings across cylinders that have gone dry. Best to crank it up, get pressure and oil splashing around and then let it start.
