[T3] Yes HEAT, No Smell

<x-flowed>Well, I got it!

Thanks for the help everyone. I last wrote about this Jan 31st. I figured out that the stuffing was just cotton. I tried to light it with a match and it is flammable. I thought that it might be heat resistant or something. It's not. So I just washed up some cotton rags, cut them into strips and wrapped them around the wire tubes that are inside of the heat boxes. After I had several layers I used some fiberglas building insulation (it can't come in contact with the air you breathe) to fill the remaining space in the heater boxes. We took it for a drive and now we've got heat that smells like towels fresh from the dryer.

As the 3 Stooges would say, "Success!"

Next thing to tackle is the wet carpet. The carpet in the front is soaking wet. Is there a place where water would leak in if the car is just sitting in the drive and it rains or the snow melts on it? The door and side window weather stripping are old but not in terrible shape.

Thanks
Randy
