The Al part will decompose into white dust. This is particularly true if the parts get wet. You don't see it so much on most steel bolts in aluminum cases, because the contact area is so small, and water doesn't tend to get in there. However, I've see examples of bad design where the large head of an allen bolt fits snugly into a blind hole in an Al part, and the head welds itself to the Al part. Once you get them separated, the bolt head will be covered in white powder, which is some of the Al part. __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Read only the mail you want - Yahoo!
